Design | Industrial Charm with Ethereal Beauty

When Big Brother stars Memphis Garrett and Christmas Abbot reached out for help with their Savannah wedding, we were absolutely thrilled to get the call! This celebrity wedding featured a refined and romantic wedding design that complimented the industrial backdrop of the Georgia State Railroad Museum.
A Big Brother Wedding
Every couple’s wedding day priorities are a little different. For Memphis and Christmas, the Big Brother stars, good food, great music, and delicious cocktails were important. With this in mind, we designed a family-style dinner with specialty cocktails that included handmade syrups, freshly pressed juices, and dehydrated fruit. For music, during the cocktail hour, the couple’s friends performed while afterward, guests danced the night away thanks to a special guest DJ.
Memphis & Christmas’ Wedding Design
When we met with the Big Brother stars, they expressed that they wanted their wedding to be warm and welcoming but have a refined and romantic atmosphere. So, we created a one-of-a-kind design that harmoniously blended with their industrial venue.
Ceremony
To create a sense of intimacy for the wedding ceremony, we opted for a nontraditional layout and chose a circular wedding ceremony design. The incredible Gray Harper Florals designed a bespoke floral chandelier that hung above the couple as they exchanged their vows. Our team also brought in wood chairs and bohemian rugs to soften the industrial elements of the ceremony space.
Reception
The reception space in the Georgia State Railroad Museum courtyard was truly what dreams are made of. We transformed a historic railroad landmark into a dreamy al fresco long table dinner beneath the twinkling lights.
To transform this venue, we created distinct spaces for cocktail hour and dinner with help from the industrial footprint of the building. We designed a cocktail reception in the courtyard next to the Roundhouse with wood bars, wood chairs, natural linens, and plush velvet lounges. Meanwhile, inside the train yard, three long family-style tables were set with deep velvet linens, colored taper candles, wood chairs, and beautiful floral arrangements.
One of our favorite details was the hundreds of tiny twinkling lights hanging above the reception space. As dusk settled, the lights flickered in the sky, creating the most romantic atmosphere.
Thank you, Memphis and Christmas, for trusting us with your dreamy day! It was such a joy to work on this Big Brother stars wedding, and we look forward to celebrating again with this lovely couple for a ten-year anniversary!
