Meet the faces behind the Design Studio South team!
We want you to get familiar with the incredible ladies who make up the Design Studio South team. We are a passionate group of destination wedding planners based in Savannah Georgia and love going above and beyond for our clients. From answering inquiries to dreaming up your designs and bringing it all together on-site, you will have a chance to work with us and get to know us throughout your planning process.
Meet Danielle
Eternal Optimist, Design Aficionado, F-Bomb droppin' Mama Bear - Hearing our clients' stories, watching their designs come to life and helping create memories that last a lifetime are what drew Danielle to the wedding industry. Despite working tirelessly behind the scenes for each of our events, Danielle jumps at the opportunity to get to know our clients. One of her core strengths is her ability to build lasting relationships with our vendor partners.
Danielle originally studied Fashion Development and Manufacturing while working as an apparel developer. The skills and industry knowledge she acquired in the fashion world were easily transferable to event design and planning. Those experiences attributed greatly to her sharp attention to detail and exceptional communication skills. Danielle holds a high standard for providing the utmost quality of service for each of our clients and prides herself on staying cool, calm and collected to execute events with ease.
Danielle draws inspiration from a variety different life experiences. This allows her to add dimension, texture and form to design unique elements for all for our design clients.
Meet Andrea
Business Guru, Best Gift Giver, and Lover of Hi-Chews. Andrea sets the foundation for DSS, by keeping us on track with all of our financial and business goals. You will see her name pop up in emails and sometimes see her at a client mock up. With her past experience as an event planner and as the current owner of Gray Harper Florals, she is able to help guide us though obstacles and challenge us to push our designs and execution to the next level.
She has been involved in the wedding industry since 2010 and cannot imagine serving a role in any other arena. Her thoughtful sense for design is backed by a master's degree in Fine Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) while her logistics and organizational skills are directly linked to her career as an entrepreneur and small business owner for the past thirteen years.
Meet Samantha
Animal Lover, Seeker of Live Music, Health Enthusiast. Sam is our right-hand gal and is always there when we need her! She keeps our social media up to date, as well as helps with all little aspects of the business. You will sometimes meet her with your inquiry lead and get to know her more as she is our Lead Event Manager. Everyone, including her clients, adore her. Whether you are a Management or Full Service client, you get to work with the lovely Sam!
Wedding planning was a long time dream of Sam's and in 2021 she joined our team and fell in love with all aspects of planning and coordination. Event management felt like the perfect blend of creativity, coordination and organization. She feels there is something about meeting a couple and helping bring their vision to life while alleviating the stress of curating each detail that is pure magic.
