This gala was especially fun from a design perspective, and we are excited to share it with you. The Telfair Ball is a Non-Profit Gala in Savannah where guests join together to raise funds for local museums.

Non-Profit Gala Design

The inspiration for the design of this non-profit gala was the uniqueness of Louisiana and the bold colors of Mardi Gras. The chairman for this event was from Louisiana, so she wanted to bring a little bit of her hometown into the evening. So, we went with a masquerade and bayou feel without being too heavy on the Mardi Gras aspect. 

We pulled in bright colors often seen in Mardi Gras celebrations for the design and paired them with luxury fabrics. Elegant draping filled the tent, and vibrant linens were used on some of the guest tables. Mixed table designs included tall floral arrangements, elegant candelabras, and low-lying floral centerpieces. In addition, local artists were called to create their versions of a crown, which were then incorporated into the table decor. Later in the evening, during the live auction, the crowns were auctioned off to guests. It was so fun to see all the different interpretations of a crown and include them in the table designs.

Event Details

Upon arrival at Bethesda Academy, guests were greeted by local entertainers, actors, and artists. From dueling pianos to tarot card readers and even a second line, the entertainment embodied the true vibrancy of the New Orleans streets. 

Guests started their evening in an outdoor reception where passed hors d'oeuvres and live entertainment took place. They then headed inside the tent for dinner and the auction. After the main events of the gala, everyone headed outside and was treated to a live band for dancing.

It was an honor to work with our client to bring her vision of the 40th anniversary Telfair Ball to life. We loved designing this one-of-a-kind evening with bright and vibrant colors and various artistic elements.
