Real Wedding | A Spring Inspired Crane Cottage Wedding

Crane Cottage wedding ceremony

When our couple Lauren & Eric approached us looking for help with their Crane Cottage wedding, we were overjoyed and excited to bring their vision to life. This winter wedding took place on the private resort property of Jekyll Island Club on Jekyll Island in Georgia and included an essence of spring.

The Perfect Destination Wedding Venue in Georgia

Jekyll Island Club is known for its historic 19th-century architecture along Georgia’s Atlantic Coastline. It is the perfect destination wedding venue in Georgia as it is host to pristine grounds, exceptional amenities, and breathtaking views.

Jekyll Island Club Wedding Venues

With several different locations to choose from on the resort property, you honestly cannot go wrong. Some of our favorite spots for a ceremony include the Sunken Gardens, Riverfront lawn, and Jekyll Ocean Club beach wedding ceremony. For receptions, we love transforming the Crane Cottage courtyard, Crane Cottage tent, and Riverfront lawn.

When choosing to have a Crane Cottage wedding, you can rent out the entire cottage for your wedding weekend and use the rooms as accommodations for your guests, just like Lauren and Eric did!

Sunken Garden Wedding Ceremony

Lauren & Eric’s wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful Sunken Gardens of Crane Cottage. Guests were welcomed to the gardens with vintage doors adorned with greenery while cheerful and organic floral arrangements by Gray Harper Florals lined the aisle. The couple exchanged vows under a wooden wedding ceremony arch intertwined with foliage. It was the perfect warm and inviting setting for this garden wedding ceremony.

Crane Cottage Wedding Reception

After the garden wedding ceremony, Lauren and Eric hosted their guests in the Crane Cottage courtyard for dinner with intimate long tables. You would never know by looking at the photos, but this was actually their rain plan. It rained on and off throughout the day, so we moved the guest tables and buffet under the covered patio throughout the pavilion.

Lauren wanted her wedding design to feel cheerful and organic with a timeless touch. So, we designed a bright spring-inspired color palette of soft pinks, peaches, and white that was incorporated through the florals. Each table was set with timeless white linens and lined with candles and bud vases. Whenever possible, we opted for spring florals such as hyacinths and sweet peas in the arrangements to add a touch of spring fragrance to the reception. We loved the pressed flower table numbers and pressed flower wedding cake that completed the look of this cheerful spring design.

Later in the evening, the rain had stopped long enough for a private fireworks display to close out this beautiful Crane Cottage wedding.

We enjoyed working with Lauren and Eric for their Jekyll Island Club wedding at Crane Cottage. It was so fun to bring a touch of spring to this winter wedding in February!
