If you are newly engaged, congratulations! We know how confusing wedding planning can be and the difficulty of knowing how and where to start in the wedding planning process. That is why we want to share with you some wedding planning tips for curating the perfect wedding vendor team!

Where to Start With The Wedding Planning Process

First thing first, we always recommend starting with your wedding planner. As planners, we are here to help guide our clients to find the perfect vendor team that will bring their dream wedding vision to life. We believe in pairing our clients with the right vendor for them based on budget and style, which is why we do not have a published list of vendors.

For our Wedding Management Service, our team is there to help answer any questions, review contracts, and manage the day of logistics with vendors. However, it is ultimately up to the client to select their vendors. We usually give a couple of recommendations per vendor category and let our couples go from there. For a wedding management design, we will custom curate a design plan and pair the perfect vendor for each design element, for example, florals, cake, rentals, etc.

Compared with our Full Service Planning, we have in-depth conversations and ask our clients to answer a questionnaire to get to know them better. With this information, we then pair the perfect vendor for each category. For Full Service, the process is more streamlined as we do not offer multiple options but pair our clients with the perfect vendor from the start and manage the communication onward from there.

Four things to look for with your wedding vendor team

Should you find yourself sourcing and booking your own vendors for your wedding day, there are a few things we suggest you look for in a professional vendor.

1. Pricing within your total wedding investment

We recommend you start with a detailed budget; in this budget, be sure to list all needed vendors and design details. Then list your top three priorities, such as beautiful flowers, impeccable food and beverage service, or maybe editorial-style photography. Doing so will help you narrow down where you would be okay with spending more money and where to trim if needed.

2. Ensuring the vendor can execute your design

Not only is it important to select vendors within your budget, but it is equally important to make sure they can execute your design goals. We recommend sharing inspirational images and scheduling consultations when possible. It is also important to remember to read the details and compare the bottom line with each vendor so that you know everything included with their services.

3. Smooth communication

Communication is vital when it comes to planning your wedding. What you like is just as important as what you do not like, so be sure to communicate this with your vendors whenever possible. We recommend conversing with them about your preference before booking to see which vendor best fits you and your vision.

4. An enjoyable relationship

It is important to work with a wedding vendor team that you enjoy working with; when interviewing vendors, take note of how your personalities mesh. You should feel heard and understood by your vendors. It is important that you have confidence and are comfortable expressing your true opinions with your vendor team.

Our team specializes in planning and producing exquisite events that are seamlessly executed. Every detail matters to our team, from the guest atmosphere to your experience while planning. We want you to have the wedding of your dreams and can help you find the perfect wedding vendor team for your day!
